This performance of “The Swan” by world-famous cellist Yo-Yo-Ma belongs with this poem. Please turn it on while reading the poem. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNbXuFBjncw
When night falls, the stars move in.
They carve her soul and deepen her well.
Then light breaks the spell.
“I’m looking out for Angels”,
the swan says in her dream.
“Look within”, the Angels reply.
They put her in a manger,
and cleanse her sin,
they fill the room,
with Angel bells sound.
“It is time”, they say.
“Rise and shine.
Open your wings and
hold to the divine”.
The swan opens her wings,
waves her quill with flair,
stardust fills the air,
rising from the depth of her well,
poetry and magic stories to tell.
